You can tell it’s summer when almost everyone woman starts to whip up their wedges and wear it anywhere. I was just at the mall and I swear 4 out of 5 women were wearing them. Can’t blame them since it’s what’s “in fashion” this season. The question now becomes, how do you stand out. There’s a lot of different ways but here’s a simple one, get something unique. To be more specific, get Sergio Zelcer’s Madge wedges. My personal favorite would be the Whiskey-Multi color, followed by the Denim-Multi and then the Black-Multi. Love Whiskey’s earth tone, you can wear it with almost any color! These would be great with shorts (as with any wedges) or skirts. The bold print and the upside-down staircase type heel/platform is very unique and eye catching you’ll definitely stand out!

Camilla Skovgaard Ankle Boots with Lug soles in black

I know it’s summer but I’m a huge fan of boots so work with me here. This is love at first sight. I’ve been looking for something that would replace my racer type boots (that someone borrowed and unfortunately never returned). No it doesn’t look anything like this but the aura feels like it, if you know what I mean. I love how it’s so tough looking yet feminine. It looks conservative and straight up because of the round toe and the color but the wedge and hidden platform is very sexy. It’s like a timid woman who’s a tiger inside. Okay that’s cheesey but you get what I mean.

The platform and heels are a sexy contrast to the tough lug soles.

It also comes in green, antler and cool stone (above) colors.

The lug soles worked well with the conservative look giving it edge but other than that it’s perfect for creating traction so you can walk on any surface with this shoe. It is approximately 4 1/2 inches with 1 1/2 inch hidden platforms so it’s comfy to wear all day. It’s perfect to wear with short dresses and well … short shorts. As if these Tetra platform pumps isn’t gorgeous enough with its patent leather vamp, fabric upper and silver studs on the tip, Penny Loves Kenny comes up with three new colors this summer! Unlike the original Tetra pumps with patent leather vamps though, the new colors vamp is fabric as the rest of the upper shoe. Here’s another get-the-look-for-less shoe. We all know Loubotins are expensive but you can get the same Zipito Stiletto Booties look with Luichiny’s Flap Per Platform booties for much, MUCH less. Both are sky-high stiletto, suede booties, has zip front and look edgy and aggressive! The difference is that the Loubotins are open toe and does now have a tassle hanging off the zipper. Dolce Vita Cauzzie Pump White

Dolce Vita got really unique with the Cauzzie pumps. The bead work and embroidery are Native-American inspired but also has a boho feel to it. I guess it’s all that flower power going on. It’s not just the frills and fringe details that caught my attention (although there’s no denying everyone will turn their heads twice for another look). The embroidered leather upper straps are artsy in its own way. I have to say the tassle on the back zipper is a bit too much for me.

Dolce Vita's Cauzzie Pumps in Natural color is more my style.

The Cauzzie pump also comes in Natural color and I have to say it’s much more my style. The tassles are just a but lighter than the dominant natural color and the bead work compliments the whole design. This is great for simple casual wear. Of course this isn’t nubuck leather, the upper is made of a synthetic type of fiber. It comes in more colors too; other than black there’s gold, silver and pink. Again, I think the black (and this time also silver) is great for clubbing and dancing. The gold and pink one are shoes I’d wear for a more formal events like an evening gala, company dinner or a romantic date. The silver one can also be worn on more formal events like weddings.
